Dear friends and colleagues,

It is our great honour and privilege to invite you to the 26th Annual Scientific Sessions
of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance to be held in the beautiful
setting of San Diego Marina from 25-28 January 2023.

The annual SCMR Scientific Sessions are the leading global event that brings together
all professions involved in the field of CMR, from technologists to scientists, from
clinicians to industry partners, from novices to the most seasoned experts in the field
for a unique opportunity to learn, network and be inspired.

The theme of the 2023 SCMR Scientific Sessions is ‘Changing Global Clinical Practice’,
reflecting the increasing role of CMR as a mainstream clinical tool in every region of
the world. Our programme committee, led by João Cavalcante, Jadranka Stojanovska
and Tobias Schaeffter, has put together an amazing schedule of sessions spanning
the entire spectrum of contemporary CMR science and clinical application.

The programme will kick off with several pre-conferences and the SCMR-ISMRM
co-provided workshop. The main sessions will be delivered in four parallel tracks so
that there will always be something of interest for every attendee. In addition,
moderated posters , exhibit hall, expert case readings sessions, hands-on interactive
workshops and keynote lectures will round off the educational programme, along
with a wide range of social events including mentoring sessions, receptions and a
fun run will provide ample opportunity to network with colleagues and peers. A
sophisticated mobile app will allow interaction with anyone unable to join the
meeting in person.
For anyone unable to join the meeting in person, a virtual
platform will offer a
combination of live streamed and recorded sessions and a
sophisticated app will allow remote user
participation in the question and answer
sessions.  See you all in San Diego!
